Located in an old underground cellar in the village centre, it’s popular with the locals. Food selections were good and served efficiently as was the wine. Limited but good selections. There is no music so the ambiance is a tad too quiet but overall it was a well priced and lovely evening dinner. St Emilion can be hit or miss and touristy but this place was a great find and recommended.

We had a fantastic meal made all the more special by the excellent owner! We haven't booked but managed to find a lovely little corner. The black pudding is the best I have ever tasted and I should know as I am Scottish, totally yummy, rich and unctuous. We also ate snails which were delicious and a cheese board to finish. Wine throughout, enjoyed lots of different glasses of red wine which our host brought over every time we asked for more . A great experience. Highly recommend. I'm still talking about my black pudding. Happy days.

We had dinner at Lard et Bouchon and found it to be a decent experience overall. The food was okay — nothing particularly memorable, but nicely presented and satisfying enough. The wine list is extensive, though we felt the wines were quite pricey for what they were. On the positive side, the service was good throughout the evening. The staff were attentive and pleasant, which made the meal more enjoyable. All in all, it’s a decent spot if you’re in the area, though the value for money could be improved, especially when it comes to the wine.

Amazing! Dinner was incredible with lots of options and good size portions. Service was outstanding and Sylvian was very good at recommending wine matches to our meal . He was very attentive and made an effort to make our visit very memorable. Dinner in a cave with amazing food and great wine and atmosphere- highly recommend!

This place never disappoints! This was our 5th time eating here! We love the food, the service and the atmosphere. Sylvan is awesome. This is always a stop on our travels. I highly recommend! The only sad part is we won't be able to return until next spring.

What a wonderful experience. This restaurant was recommended by someone we met earlier in the day. She suggested getting reservations and we're glad we did. The service is friendly and inviting. The restaurant is underground in old caves, which makes it exciting and exotic. The food... I can still taste the Foie gras. The texture, taste, and smell of this delicacy are amazing, as I'd never had it before. Our waiter offered this as a starter which he then recommeded be followed by the lobster roll and shrimp main plates. The wine pairing was equally splendid. The chocolate cream and whipped topping dessert finished everything off to perfection. Can't say enough about this place... Reservations highly recommended. We opted for a 19:00 time and within 30 mins plus the place was nearly full. For a last night in St Emillion we struck gold finding this gem.

This is a fantastic place. We stopped in for lunch and the experience was fantastic. Is a great place and VERY friendly to families and American tourists as we are. The specials were fantastic. The owner brought over juice for the kids without charge with our kids (15,11 boys) loved. He recommended a much better wine choice in our price point which was fantastic as well. The owner speaks English well and there is an English menu too without the tourist scam. The ambience is amazing too! Quite a unique experience. After spending 4 days in Paris, this was our best meal of our trip so far. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Lovely restaurant in a wine cellar. The food I had was excellent, especially the plat du jour, which was a slow-cooked guinea fowl stuffed with truffles. The owner was very friendly and recommended a good wine to go with my meal. The place is small and popular, so a reservation is a must.
